Thanks to the support of thousands of dedicated readers, this personal finance and investment planning website has completed one year today.
| “RaagVamdatt.com – Financial Planning Demystified” was launched exactly one year back, on 25th November, 2007. |
I would like to thank all of you, my readers, for the overwhelming support you have provided.
The foundation stone of the website was laid by the article “Goal Based Investing”. The journey that we started together with that article has continued unabated, resulting in 132 articles and still growing.
Through the articles, I have tried to cover the entire spectrum of the personal finance space: Stocks, Mutual Funds (MFs), Insurance, Income Tax, Real Estate, Loans and Gold.
I have also tried to write about the areas concerning Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).
I have also talked about various investment philosophies and prudent investment strategies, which can be instrumental in your financial well being.
This journey saw some important milestones:
- Some known and very reputed websites (like Reuters.com) publishing my articles
- A very reputed Hindi daily (Dainik Bhaskar) translating and publishing my articles
- Publishing of an eBook (on investing in Gold)
- Publishing of a video tutorial (how to fill an income tax return)
Overall, it has been a very exciting, enjoyable and immensely rewarding journey!
So, how do I sum up the year?
The intention behind starting this website was to draw from the experience I have had in the field of personal finance, and write about it in a way that is easy to understand even for a lay person who is just starting out in the field of personal finance.
And I can certainly say that I am headed in the right direction. And what can be a better proof than the 2600 members of the website?
Through the numerous comments and emails, you, my readers, have told me that you like the articles, and that this website is helping you understand personal finance better.
This positive feedback is the true driving force behind my writing, and has been an incredible source of encouragement.
My sincere thanks to all of you for the tremendous support you have provided.
I would continue to write about matters related to personal finance, and would strive to write even more, even better.
Your feedback is very important
I would love to know what you have liked about the website, so that I can do more of it in the future.
At the same time, I would also love to know what you have not liked about this website, so that I can improve it and make this website more useful for you.
