FOREIGN INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS

They are also commonly known as FIIs. FIIs are foreign financial institutions that invest money in the Indian stock markets. The FIIs provide a very large pool of money for investment in the stock markets, and have been responsible for many of the recent ups and downs in the Indian stock markets.
