The PF office is supposed to give a statement of your PF account to your employer every year, and your finance / accounts department is supposed to hand that over to you. But many employees never get this yearly statement.

So, how can you find your PF account balance?

This facility has started from Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Karnal and Bangalore, and is being rapidly extended to 120 more cities.

How can you know the PF balance – the procedure

The PF account details ca be obtained online at http://www.epfindia.com/MembBal.html

Have your PF money in a private trust?

Some companies run their own PF trusts – the companies deposit your PF money with these trusts for management instead of depositing it with the EPFO.
